New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone has been fined and suspended by Major League Baseball (MLB) for protesting an umpire’s call.
MLB.com announced on Sunday that Boone has been fined and suspended for one game. The specific amount of the fine was not disclosed.
Boone was ejected from the game against the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium in New York City the previous day (Nov. 26) for protesting an umpire’s strike call. 안전놀이터
It was Boone’s fourth ejection of the season and 30th of his career, as he often clashes with umpires.
Boone will serve a one-game suspension and will not be available for tonight’s game at home against the San Diego Padres.
“I don’t think I was targeted by the umpires. “I don’t think I was targeted by the umpires, I think there were some things they didn’t like, but I think I was treated fairly,” he said.
