A baseball team shakes up a baseball team with baseball. The Samsung Lions’ bats rattled the LG Twins’ infield.
The Samsung Lions defeated the LG Twins 6-5 in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League on Friday at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, South Korea. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Samsung. At the plate, Ryu Ji-hyuk had two hits and two RBIs, Kim Sung-yoon had two hits, and Oh Jae-il hit a two-run double to lead the team to victory.
The first inning was a bit of a struggle.메이저놀이터 The team was unable to get on the board as they were held in check by opposing starter Adam Plutko. In the bottom of the second inning, Kang Min-ho and Pirela hit back-to-back singles to put runners on first and second with no outs. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the leadoff hitter failed to bunt and was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

However, Samsung responded in the sixth inning. The bats came alive. They tied the game with four infield hits, including a bunt single.
In the bottom of the sixth, with Kim Dong-jin leading off with a single, Samsung loaded the bases with back-to-back bunt singles by Kim Hyun-jun and Kim Sung-yoon. The infield, including pitcher Plutko, prepared for the bunts, but the Samsung bats were accurate and quick.
Later, Samsung got lucky. Koo’s grounder hit the pitcher and trickled toward the third baseman for an infield hit, allowing the runner from third to score. In the next at-bat, Kang Min-ho hit a grounder to the third baseman, but Moon Bo-kyung’s throw home was inaccurate, allowing the runner to score. Luckily, Samsung only needed a ground ball to tie the game.

After that, it looked like Samsung would be out of the game when Pirela struck out. However, Ryu Ji-hyeok came through with a two-run double to right field. It was the start of a four-run big inning for Samsung. In the eighth inning, Oh Jae-il drove in the winning run with a two-run single to give Samsung a 6-5 victory.
It was a baseball victory for Samsung in front of a baseball team. Their opponent, LG, is the only team in the 10-team league with triple-digit stolen bases this season, leading the league in team stolen bases (118), but they were able to shake them down with their bats to earn a valuable victory.
